Day 4 - Parikrama to Gaudiya Math, Mayapur, India
We saw the personal deities of SBSST Sri Sri Radha Giridhari. The deities are so beautiful. Sang a beautiful song written by Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Sarasvati Thakura on the parampara. We depend on the mercy of the previous acharyas. The means to go back home back to Godhead is given by the process marked by the great souls and one who follows that process then one will be successful. In the Chaitanya Bhagavat, one may or may not be successful but one who is a devotee of the devotee of the Lord Narayan then that person will definitely be successful.
For example Nalakuvera and Manigriva got liberated because they were blessed by Narada, pure devotee of Krishna. If one approaches the boat then the ocean of material world shrinks to the size of the hoof print of a calf.
Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur has written a song ”Krishna Hoite Catur Mukhe”. Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati has glorified all the Vaishnava’s in this song. These Vaishnava’s have spread the name of Hare Krishna throughout the world.

(1) In the beginning of creation the science of devotional service was received by the four-headed Brahma from the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna. Devarshi Narada’s understanding of this divine science was obtained from Brahma. The great sage Krishna Dvaipayana Vyasa who was empowered to compile the Vedic literatures, became a disciple of Devarshi Narada. Sripada Madhvacarya, the founder of the suddha-dvaita school of Vedanta-philosophy,who visited Vyasadeva at Badarikasrama in the thirteenth century to learn from him Vedanta philosophy, calls himself a servant of Krishna Dvaipayana Vyasa. Purnaprajna Tirtha [Madhva] is the guru and sole refuge of Padmanabha Tirtha.
(2) The two other principal disciples of Madhva are Nrihari Tirtha and Madhava Tirtha. Madhava Tirtha accepted the great paramahamsa Aksobhya Tirtha as a disciple. The principal disciple of Akshobhya Tirtha was known as Jayatirtha. Jayatirtha’s service was for his disciple Jnanasindhu.
(3) Dayanidhi received the science of devotional service from Jnanasindhu, and the servant of Dayanidhi was Vidyanidhi [Vidyadhiraja Tirtha]. Rajendra Tirtha became a disciple of Vidyadhiraja Tirtha. Rajendra Tirtha’s servant was known as Jayadharma or Vijayadhvaja Tirtha. In this way you should properly understand this disciplic succession.
(4) The great sannyasi Sri Purushottama Tirtha received his knowledge in the service of his guru, Vijayadhvaja Tirtha [Jayadharma]. The principal disciple of Purushottama Tirtha was Subrahmanya Tirtha. His servant was the great Vyasatirtha [Vyasa Raya]. Vyasatirtha’s servant was Lakshmipati Tirtha whose disciple was Madhavendra Puri Gosvami.
(5) The chief disciple of Madhavendra Puri was Isvara Puri, and two of his other disciples were the renowned incarnations of Godhead Sri Nityananda and Advaita Acarya. Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, the spiritual preceptor of all the worlds, made Isvara Puri greatly fortunate by accepting him as His spiritual master.
(6) Mahaprabhu Sri Caitanya is nondifferent from Sri Sri Radha and Krishna and is the very life of those Vaishnavas who follow Sri Rupa Gosvami. Sri Svarupa Damodara Gosvami, Rupa Gosvami, and Sanatana Gosvami were the givers of great happiness to Visvambhara [Sri Caitanya].
(7) The great souls Jiva Gosvami and Raghunatha dasa Gosvami became very dear to Rupa Gosvami. Jiva Gosvami was a disciple of Rupa Gosvami, and Raghunatha dasa Gosvami, a disciple of Advaita Acarya’s disciple Yadunandana Acarya, was accepted by Rupa and Sanatana as their third brother. Raghunatha dasa Gosvami’s beloved student was Krishnadasa Kaviraja Gosvami. Krishnadasa Kaviraja was an intimate friend of Lokanatha Gosvami. They lived together in Vrindavana and always discussed the topics of Krishna with one another. Lokanatha Gosvami, a disciple of Gadadhara Pandita, had only one disciple, whose name was Narottama dasa. Narottama dasa was always engaged in the service of his guru, and he also engaged himself in the service of his guru’s intimate friend. Thus he became very dear to Krishnadasa Kaviraja Gosvami. To serve the feet of Narottama dasa Thakura was the only desire of Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura, who was the fourth acarya in disciplic succession from Narottama dasa.
(8) Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura was the siksha-guru [instructing spiritual master of Baladeva Vidyabhushana, to whom he taught the precepts of Srimad-Bhagavatam. Jagannatha dasa Babaji was a very prominent acarya after Sri Baladeva Vidyabhushana and was the beloved siksha-guru of Sri Bhaktivinoda Thakura. Bhaktivinoda Thakura’s intimate friend and associate was the eminent maha-bhagavata Sri Gaurakisora dasa Babaji, whose sole joy was found in hari-bhajana.
(9) These great saintly Vaishnavas are all paramahamsas, or devotees of the highest order, and they are all part of Lord Gauranga’s own spiritual family. Their holy feet are my refuge. I have no real interest in devotional service, and I am a poor and lowly tridandi sannyasi named Sri Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati.sri-varshabhanavi-bara, sada sevya-seva-para, tahara dayita-dasa-nama tara pradhan pracarako, sri-bhaktivedanta namo,patita-janete doya-dhama .The renowned Sri Varshabhanavi-dayita dasa [the initiated name of Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati] is always engaged in the service of his spiritual master, Srila Gaurakisora dasa Babaji. His foremost disciple-preacher is Sri A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, who has spread the message of Lord Caitanya throughout the world and is thus a reservoir of mercy and compassion for all fallen souls.
=======================================================
We started from the Yoga pita and this is like a reset or like our home button. Jivas are just traveling here and there and don't know where they are going. No one knows where they are going. We are asked unceremoniously to leave someday and 4 things come to us unexpectedly - mosquito, monkies, pick pockets and death. These come out of nowhere. We are in this bewildered situation and unless jivas are aligned properly who our master is, it's a very stressful situation. We notice if the dog doesn't have a master then the dog is not cared for, same way we need masters. A weary traveler comes home and feels very happy. Krsna comes to this world just to save us. Mahaprabhu when He came here, He made a big show. Krishna is like an actor on the stage. You do these big performances and people can't understand who you are. You come specifically to show yourself to the devotees. Yoga Pita is the place. That's where Mahaprabhu showed up in a big way. Mahaprabhu did a lot of pranks growing up. Yoga Pita is the center of the 9 islands. Srivas Angam is the place where Mahaprabhu sent everyone out and give it to everyone in the streets. That's the beginning of the Harinaam Movement. Panchatattva spread the Hare Krishna movement all over the world and everyone should just follow in their footsteps in spreading the movement all over the world. Respiritualize everyone so everyone gets mercy of Mahaprabhu.
We pray to Mahaprabhu, at his birthplace, at antardwip the focal point of the Sankirtan movement and at the lotus feet of BSST so we can also follow in the footsteps of the great personalities.
HG Navina Nirada Prabhu:
We heard from HG Vaisesika prabhu how the entire ocean becomes small as a hoof print of a calf, the instructions of the Guru is the boat which allows us to cross that ocean. BSST said, I've seen SP that he hears attentively so he can preach attentively and nicely. SP met BSST only a dozen times but SP made those instructions his live and soul. He attributed his success to BSST's mercy and shelter. Same way we should take the instructions of our Gurudeva and make it our life and soul. When we accept initiation it's not a moment in time, but it's a continuous process. By following this, the kirtan/chanting becomes very ecstatic. Mayapur Dhaam is our home. From here Sankirtan movement of Mahaprabhu is spreading everywhere, it is the Yuga dharma. It's the epicenter and all ripple effects are happening from here. The acharyas have done intense bhajan here. Meditate on how can I do, how can I absorb this spiritual vibration. How do I imbibe it so when I go out, the potency is felt others. When the inside and the outside becomes same then real preaching happens. SP was very anxious to develop Mayapur dhaam. He wanted everyone to see the TOVP. It's the lecagy that our parampara has left us. These books were written by our parampara. This KC is not cheap. KC is the certificate, am I hearing the words for my SM, am I accepting it as my life and soul and how do I make the words of my SM to heart. In KC, we have to do plagiarism, just share what we are hearing from the acharyas and whatever resonates from our heart, that we respond and speak that in our own words and that is called realization.
Just stay on the boat. Never leave the yatra and always stay on the current - the Sankirtan movement and by going through that current we are assured that mukti pade sadayabhak. We will achieve the fruit and realization which our parampara has experienced. Just by deep hearing and chanting process.JUST ABSORB YOURSELF IN THIS PROCESS. Spread this mission without any anhibition and just give it away to everyone. Chisel away with this hearing and chanting process then it destroys all the coverings. Let us absorb ourselves in this hearing and chanting process and go deeper in this process.
Evening Program
We started by singing Parama Karuna. Try to become attached to something which is eternal. Somehow get your mind attached to Krishna! We should read CHAD everyday as that will keep our connection with Krishna everyday. BG has such potency that if we receite CHAD, then it frees us from any mistakes we commit when we do our puja seva. We then did our CHAD BG 6. A devotee is tolerant to all the material problems happening. He is not aroused when doing his material activities.
