In the Nectar of Devotion, Srila
Rupa Goswami lists 64 items of devotional service, and points out the five most
potent ones. Of the five, residing in
the Dhama is one.What could be a better choice
than to visit Navadvipa Dhama where seven holy cities are present: Mathura,
Ayodhya, Haridwara, Kasi, Kanci, Avanti and Dwarka!
Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu
instructs Srila Sanatana Goswami in Sri Caitanya-Caritamrta Madhya Lila 20.217:
visnu kancite visnu, hari rahe
mayapure
aiche are nana murti brahmanda-
bhitare
At Viṣṇu-kāñcī there is Lord Viṣṇu, at Māyāpur Lord Hari, and throughout the universe a variety of other forms.
Lord Sri Krsna is the creator of
everything, with only one exception – Navadvipa-Dhama. This Dhama was created
by the desire of Srimati Radharani, and is the place where the Lord in the form
of Sri Gauranga enjoys audarya-bhava – magnanimity, generosity, or overflowing
mercy!
How fortunate are we that we
will get to reside in this beautiful Dhama under the guidance and protection of
exalted devotees like His Grace Vaisesika Prabhu and Mother Nirakula, who are
magnanimously showering their mercy on us!
More than 50 devotees from
different parts of the world will participate in the Yatra this year, some
missing work, some missing school, some fighting with their boss, some going
through the pains of getting a visa, but all immersed in love for Gauranga and
fired with a strong desire to go back to Godhead.
