Hare Krishna and welcome to Day 3 of the Yatra. We started today's day with beautiful darshan of Tota Gopinath at Mangala Aarti followed by HG Vaisesika Prabhu's SB class.
The Yatra has 3 main goals- distribution of the Holy Name, Shastra and Prasadam distribution. Today we had an ecstatic Harinaam where we did all 3 in front of the Jagannatha Mandir.

After that we visited the Siddha Bakula Matha. There is a small temple featuring a murti of namacarya Srila Haridas Thakura in a sitting pose chanting japa. The main site to see if the extraordinary bakula tree winding and climbing around the courtyard. The tree even though many years old is still wonderfully flourishing with lush green leaves and fragrance. It was under this tree Haridas Thakur performed his daily bhajana of chanting 192 rounds of Hare Krsna Maha Mantra everyday. He is said to have completed his rounds in 12 hours. Due to Haridas Thakura's humility he tried to stay far away from the servants of Lord Jagannath, hence Mahaprabhu used to come personally to meet Haridasa along with bringing him Jagannatha's maha prasadam.
It was also at this place, Mahaprabhu saw the palm leaf where Sri Rupa Gosvami composed beautiful verse which revealed Mahaprabhu's confidential secrets of His heart. Another beautiful pastime here was how the Siddha Bakula tree grew.
Mahaprabhu once got the bakula which was offered to Lord Jagganath as his toothbrush. When Mahaprabhu planted the twig in the ground, immediately it grew into a beautiful flourishing tree.
